Pfumvudza Dry Planting Project

Community Outreach Project

The same community in Bindura is a cause for concern due to the impoverished environment. As observed, this form of poverty is the main cause of these girls to be in lamentable situations, for “An idle mind is the devil’s workshop.” Parents and children are forced into unorthodox means of sustaining their livelihoods.
In light of this need, we engaged training programs that offer the girls and their families an opportunity to fend for themselves.  The community is supported in starting up projects that can aid in self sustenance including the Pvumvudza Program.
The Pvumvudza project focuses on the maximum utilization of smaller plots for example a 39 by 16 m plot produces 5 buckets of maize which is enough for a month.
