In the words of the late UN Secretary-General, Kofi Annan, “To educate girls is to reduce poverty.” To further assist the girls, West Property Zimbabwe is sponsoring 11 girls to train at Chaminuka Training Centre. This opportunity for the young women to receive vocational skills will see them taking on a clothing and textile course. The training will be for 4 months, and 4 months on attachment.

In preparation, the team consisting of Edwell Chatambudza, Christine Chibage, Nurse Tom and Anna Honde travelled to Shamva. The team handed over school uniforms, and tuck to the organization’s founder, Umtali Saidi. In addition, the team offered advice to the young women each emphasizing on the importance of discipline and education. This advice is with hope that the girls will learn, graduate and be empowered to earn a living for themselves, their families, and community at large.
