Bindura Arts Festival Foundation Uniting in the Fight Against Early Child Marriage

32% of girls in Zimbabwe are married before the age of 18 and 4% are married before their 15th birthday. These staggering numbers are a call to our society to make a difference in the lives of young women and girls. West Property Zimbabwe, and Mr. Sharpe got involved in launching the Anti-child marriage and sexual violence against the girl child campaign.
The team led by Edwell and Nurse, joined the Bindura Arts Festival Foundation at Lex Mine Shamva on October 17th 2020. The launch was graced by founder Umtali Saidi alongside keynote speakers and local musicians. An opening prayer kicked off the program, with Umtali Saidi giving a background of the organisation. In the narrative he stated that he is a product of the same area, he partially grew in Lex Mine. He also shared his journey in empowering the community, and with the aid of West Property Zimbabwe and Mr. Sharpe, it has materialized
